Who are the Supporters of Sholing (SOS)?
The S.O.S. (previously Parent Teacher Association) is an organisation of parents and staff. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school. PTAs are best known for their fundraising work, but they have a useful social function too. Fundraising events provide an opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to get together.
Most PTAs raise money through events. They often hold one main event each school term – for example, an autumn disco, a sponsored event in the spring and a summer fair. Other PTA events include school uniform sales, quiz evenings and many more. We are always looking for new fundraising ideas.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new families that joined our school in September. The Supporters of Sholing (SOS) are the Parent / Teacher Association (PTA) of the school and we are holding a Christmas Raffle. Prizes on offer include adult and child festive hampers, Red Funnel Ferry tickets, a cash prize, sweets and games.
Tickets cost £1 per strip of 5 tickets. Tickets can ONLY be purchased online through SCOPay. (If you need any help with SCOPay please contact the school office). Please enter however many ticket strips you would like, in multiples of £1, (minimum spend £1 / £20 maximum) and you will then receive your raffle tickets via your child. Please make sure you double check the amount you put in your basket.
The closing date for the purchase of tickets is Monday 14th December at 3.30pm and the raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 16th December.
Best of luck!
