Fantastic News Sholing!
I received this email recently from Modeshift STARS:
Dear School STARS Lead
I am writing to let you know that as your school achieved one of our top levels of Modeshift STARS accreditation in the 2021/22 academic year, (‘Excellent’ or ‘Outstanding’), you have been shortlisted for the 2023 National STARS School Travel Awards.
As a result, we would like to invite you and your pupils to join us at one of our online Modeshift STARS School of the Region Awards events that will be taking place on either Thu 9th or Fri 10th March 2023. We will write to you in the New Year with more details of your regional event.
At the Awards event, we will highlight and celebrate the work that all our nominated schools have delivered to achieve one of our top levels of Modeshift STARS accreditation. We will then reveal the Local Authority Schools of the Year, before announcing the 2023 STARS Schools of the Region for your area.
Those schools that are recognised as the Schools of the Region will then be put forward to take part in the National STARS School Travel Awards Celebration Event which will take place in London Summer 2023.
Modeshift STARS Platinum Award
After all the hard work from the JTAs to promote active travel within school and the tremendous effort that you have made as parents to actively travel to and from school, It has been announced from Southampton City Council that we have achieved the Modeshift STARS Platinum Award.
This is such a huge achievement that reflects all the hard work and thought that has gone into improving active travel, reducing vehicles and pollution so improving our air quality.

Well done everyone.
We have been awarded The Modeshift STARS Gold award. Well done everyone: it has taken us nearly 4 years, but we have achieved this fantastic award together. However, this is just the beginning - let's keep up the great work to reduce the pollution from cars and continue to choose to travel actively when we can.
