• School Opening Day

  The children once again showed their talents, empathy and great respect as the school officially opened last Thursday. In the company of honoured guests, Sholing Junior School unveiled their own memorial to J.B Nicolson VC,  for an act of bravery and selflessness in the skies over Southampton.

  Jim Nicolson, James' nephew attended and was overwhelmed by the efforts of the children. He stated, 'I really cannot express adequately my thanks to the children in achieving this fantastic result.'

  We are extremely proud of the children and hope they have learned valuable lessons throughout this project.

• Mission Magdalen

  This week, the Year 5s will travel to a secret location in Dorset to a working farm with a diverse landscape, hand-reared animals and purpose-built residential centre that provides the perfect environment to connect with nature and learn from sustainable living.

• First day of school

  The first day of school for all children will be Wednesday 7th September to start at the normal time.  This is not the same as the Infants School and they will return on Tuesday 6th September.

   

  On arrival, new Year 3 children should come to the hall.
