The role of the Local Governing Body is to act responsibly in holding the school to account working closely with the headteacher and leadership team.
The Finance and Resources Committee oversee the financial management of the school, including the budget and, and how it is spent throughout the year to achieve value for money. This committee also oversees staffing, including performance management, and the management and development of the school premises.
The Progress Committee oversee the development of the curriculum, meet with subject leaders to ensure that priorities for school development are being carried out effectively.
Both committees pay particular attention to safeguarding, as the safety and well-being of the children is paramount.
Governors undertake regular training in Safeguarding , Safer Recruitment, Finance , Curriculum , Performance Management and the Ofsted inspection process.
