Absences and Medicine

If your child is going to be absent, please call the school office and use option 1, giving details of reason for absence.

The messages are listened to each morning and registers updated accordingly.

Please can you contact the office each day that your child is absent.

Sickness & Diarrhea

If your child is suffering from sickness it is school policy for your child NOT TO RETURN to school until 48 hours after their last bout of sickness or diarrhea.

We do this to try to contain spread of infection and would be grateful if you could adhere to this request.

Please see link below for the latest information regarding sickness and diarrhea from NHS:

Novel Coronavirus

I am writing to reassure you that the school is following the advice of Public Health England (PHE) and the Department for Education to ensure the health of our whole community, including pupils and staff.  This advice is updated on a daily basis.

The Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England are carefully monitoring the coronavirus situation and have published information and advice for the public. As the situation is rapidly developing, please check the online advice for the latest and most up-to-date information.

The Department for Education coronavirus helpline is available to answer questions about COVID-19 relating to education and children’s social care. Staff, parents and young people can contact this helpline as follows:

The importance of hygiene

Personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.

Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds with soap and hot water

In addition to handwashing before eating, and after coughing and sneezing, you should also wash hands after using toilets and travelling on public transport.

School Closure

The school would only close if we are instructed to do so by the DfE and at the moment we have not received any direct communication regarding this. Please disregard any comments made to the contrary on social media as this is just an opinion and not fact.
